A bridge between Greece and Spain
Born in Piraeus in 1922, Perdikidis studied in Athens and later at San Fernando in Madrid. From the 1960s he turned decisively to abstraction, showing at São Paulo and the Venice Biennale in the Spanish Pavilion.
His friendship with the poet Yannis Ritsos led to a celebrated cycle of prints for Romiosini (Grecidad), published with Visor in Madrid.
